Golf vacation in the mountains
The dream of golfing in crystal-clear mountain air finally becomes a reality in Zug – golfing on Austria’s highest fairways.
Gently nestled in the wild and romantic Zug valley, the modern stretches of the 9-hole course lead directly along the Lech River, which you even need to cross several times.
Playing upstream, the unique panorama of the Rote Wand awaits golfers at holes 1 and 2.
Holes 3 and 4 are particularly exciting, where the Lech has to be crossed in order to putt successfully.
At hole 3, the Schafberg also rises with its imposing backdrop.
Hole 7 with a length of 122/140 m is considered the “signature hole” of the course. Here, the Stierlochbach stream needs to be overcome before the ball lands on an idyllic green near the Lech.
The last hole leads past the fantastically landscaped Zug fish pond.
After the game, you can relax on the terrace of the elevated clubhouse and enjoy the impressive view once more.
The Austria is one of the ten founding hotels of the Lech-Zug golf course. Therefore, our guests receive an exclusive green fee reduction. Ask at our reception for your personal golf voucher. A special highlight in the Austria Golf Summer is “Jörg’s Golf & Indulgence Tournament”, which takes place on the first weekend in September. This weekend is all about golf, lots of culinary delights and fun. Have a great game!
Golfing in the mountains
Golfing in Lech am Arlberg is a special treat. Amidst the imposing mountain scenery, you have plenty of opportunities to prove yourself on Austria’s highest golf course. The fairways of the 19-hectare 9-hole course are laid out such that the Lech River can be played over several times.
Attached to the golf course is a golf school, which offers golf enthusiasts of all levels a comprehensive range of courses. The golf school in Lech has a 3×3-hole practice facility, a covered driving range with nine tees, as well as pitching and putting greens with sand bunkers – ideal conditions, therefore, for improving the short game or obtaining a license to play on the course. With the help of computer-aided analysis, players learn to optimize their swing.
