Every evening in our restaurant becomes a journey through gastronomy, where you can discover the variety of seasonal flavors and the creativity of our kitchen team’s dishes.
From the first bite to the last delicacy, each dish tells a story of carefully selected ingredients, artful preparation and a pinch of culinary magic.
REGIONALLY AND LOCALLY SOURCED
Whenever possible, we purchase products from the region. From farmers, bakers, butchers, beekeepers and fish farmers who work with care and love. We are convinced that you can taste this combination of regionality, reliable quality and pleasure in all products. Both in the morning on our breakfast buffet or in the evening with our gourmet evening menu, where you can find every day an “Austria classic” dish, to give you the possibility to also taste our beautiful country.
Around the year 1300, our ancestors came over the mountains from the Swiss canton of Valais and settled above Lech. The original Walser settlement “Bürstegg” with its small church is still beautiful today and well worth a visit. Our Swiss roots are perhaps even the reason why the weekly raclette evening has become so well established at the Hotel Austria. Every Friday, not only in winter but also in summer, I spoil our guests at the buffet with a tasty raclette.

TAKEN CARE OF WITH LOVE
Interpersonal relations matter – this credo applies to our entire hotel but especially also to our well-attuned service team. Aurel Strolz is not only restaurant manager but also part of his team, and he wants to see all of his guests be well taken care of and feel that they are in good hands.
You will be indulged completely in a modern and still comfortable dining area, your holiday dining room.
An integral member of our team is sommelier Jörg Dornauer who has been compiling our wine list for more than 20 years, finding the right wine for every guest. Our regular guests put so much trust in him that they no longer choose a wine by themselves in the evening but rather let themselves be surprised by Jörg. You can also take wine home from his small wine shop, so you can still enjoy the holiday delight at home.
The perfect way to start the day
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for many people. And you can really enjoy it here at the Austria.
You can indulge yourself at our breakfast buffet, with many different delicacies, from 7:30 to 10:00.
It includes regional and seasonal products, bread from the local bakery naturally, as well as a choice of sausage and cheese specialities. Fruit, vegetables, spreads, a choice of juices, muesli and yoghurt, home-made jams and cake and eggs anyway you want them – compile your own breakfast just as you want it. All this is accompanied by premium hot drinks, which we are happy to serve at your table.
An absolute highlight for Austria guests is our small breakfast patio. When the weather is good, you can start your day in complete peace and with a unique view.
The breakfast buffet is also available to our apartment guests (at an additional cost). Or you can order fresh rolls to be delivered to your apartment door in the morning.
Bar & Lounge
Whether you want to read your newspaper in peace and quiet, enjoy a relaxing afternoon tea after an eventful day, take a short coffee and cake break or look forward to a cocktail before dinner – in our lounge you will find your personal feel-good guarantee at any time of day. Because with us, comfort knows no time!
